Keep a small practice log

Choose one aspect of your fiber practice to observe during a short session. Write down the material and equipment, then note what you changed. Follow the equipment’s instructions and suitable guidance for your level of experience.

Keep a sample from the beginning and end if possible. Compare them without assuming every difference is an improvement. The goal is to connect a change in process with a result you can describe.

Finish with one question for the next session. A brief record of deliberate practice can be more useful than trying to remember many unrecorded experiments.
